Double-eye 4K+120Hz refresh rate, ANX7530 boosts USB type-c to become a serious application in the VR industry

At the forum, Manager Hu introduced the SlimPort® VR chip ANX7530, which was recently “stunning” CES 2017. It is reported that this is a new product that was picked up when it was released. As the first DisplayPortTM to Quad MIPI-DSI display controller, the ANX7530 supports up to 120 frames per second (FPS) refresh rate and is primarily used in VR and AR head mounted displays (HMD).

After passing the USB cable, the ANX7530 converts the DP protocol into a MIPI signal that the VR screen can recognize and supports each. The eye receives 8 MIPI channels (16 channels in total), and then supports the left and right screens of the VR helmet through two MIPI interfaces (left and right screens). The ANX7530 can support up to 2K & TImes in one eye; 2K resolution, 4K in both eyes. Great for common VR screen resolutions.

More detailed performance metrics for the ANX7530 are as follows:

Binocular 4K resolution combined with 120Hz refresh rate, the launch of ANX7530 can be said to be the gospel of many VR equipment manufacturers, it is no wonder that from Las Vegas all the way to the mainland market. It is reported that ANX7530 is extremely hot at present, mobile phone manufacturers at home and abroad and major VR helmet manufacturers are also extremely interested, and the supply schedule of Silicon Valley digital model is very demanding.

Since the ANX7530 does not have CC (Logical Sense and Control) and PD (Power Delivery) functions, it needs to be used in conjunction with the ANX7402 chip with a USB-C port controller and PD. Therefore, this is currently a two-chip solution. Program.
