I finally waited until the scheduled task (timed profile) function - MIUI8

I self-taste is a half rice noodles, if it is what I need, the function meets my needs, and the price/performance ratio is good, I will generally consider Xiaomi's products first. Mi black please feel free to spray, I have long been immune

The customization of half a meter of rice is a typical performance in the selection of mobile phones. The first part is the immortal Xiaomi 2, and now it is the meter 4C. The model was not selected because the demand for replacement was not strong, but also because it did not feel much about meters 3 and meters 4. For the current meters 5, m 5S is not a cold, it is because black technology has been played by Rebus, bad, the touch of the edge of the rice 4C is black technology is good, m 5S really no highlights. Red rice series, I rather respected the red rice note4, other general.

Huawei (Glory)'s mobile phone performance in the past two years is really very good. It can be said that the quality, configuration, value, price, fluency, word of mouth, etc. can all kill Xiaomi's products. I have recommended Huawei to many friends around. model. But I still prefer to choose millet. Why? There is only one reason for MIUI.

There was a period of time when major media evaluations contrasted competing products with Xiaomi, regardless of how the hardware “exceeded Xiaomi.” When it comes to the system, this piece will mention “MIUI is still the best domestic rom”. I was attracted by some of MIUI's humanized features, and I simply refused to change the system.

Do not know whether MIUI is the first to support the "smart working day" alarm clock. It has been very early to provide this function, and other manufacturers have gradually started to follow up (Huawei's rom is later than millet). With it, due to holiday breaks that led to Saturday and Sunday to go to work on the day no longer have to worry about the alarm clock did not overslept, nor will it be awake on the day of the holiday by an unintelligible alarm clock.

The ability to copy SMS verification codes in a single click makes it hard for me to put it down. Just asked a colleague, the rom of glory does not support...

Of course, MIUI also has many features that are inferior to competing products. In addition, MIUI's bloated, and the ad family bucket that was launched last year, I must be resolute, but for the time being I still cannot give up on MIUI...

Back to today's theme, the regular task/timed profile.

Personally, I personally need this function. The above table is my requirement. There is a depressing experience of being suddenly awakened while sleeping, and entangled in someone who forgot to cancel the muted missed call, should also have this need.

I heard that MIUI had had this function for a while (I didn't notice) but it was later destroyed. Therefore, I had to find another way out.

In the beginning, I found the timeriffic app, which is less than 1M. There is no advertisement. It is easy to use. Just add it to the boot list and lock it in the background (to prevent false terminations when cleaning up memory). It seems like it has been used for two years.

However, after an update of the MIUI8 development version, the timeriffic starts to fail, showing that it cannot automatically wake up after a period of time, and the scheduled task is invalid.

It is too difficult to find a similar application that is easy to use. For a long time, most of them are built-in advertisements, or they will automatically fail. It was too painful to wake up at noon and suddenly wake up, or forget to cancel the silence and miss important calls.

Some time ago, it came into contact with a similar APP, Sony smart connection (smart connection), in addition to timing trigger, also supports event triggering (for example, insert the charger trigger, insert the headset trigger). After a while, the discovery will automatically fail.

In those days, when MIDI was constantly known to listen to the opinions of users and evolved, when would it be able to natively support scheduled tasks? To know that there are also many people on the MIUI forum are calling for this feature. (The above picture is just looking for it casually. I do not know which version of the propaganda slogan it is.)

Last week, MIUI development version of the upgrade reminded me suddenly, adding automatic task features, support for regular changes to the system settings, is it what I want the regular task / timing scenarios? Having been bored with the development of the frequent, yet tiring, upgrades, I was once again excited. For the first time in many months, I actively upgraded the latest version.

After the upgrade, you can't wait to enter the security center. Pull down on the main page. There is an automatic task menu in the security tool. Saying that this thing is related to safety?

Really a regular task that I need. The figure above is a screenshot of the interface I have defined. It is set according to the requirements in my previous table. Sleep and lunch break at night, do not be afraid of being awakened or awakening others; normal working hours is the default bell; automatically cancel the mute every evening on the evening of work.

Click the plus sign to add a new task. Like most similar APPs, the task settings are divided into two parts: “Custom Condition (Trigger Condition)” and “Execute Operation”.

Custom conditions, MIUI provides three options, timing, down to the specified power, time period. Compared to other APPs (such as Dafa's smart connect), there are few customizable conditions, and I don't know if it will be added in the future, but it is enough for me.

Timing, is to specify a point in time to start executing your set of operations.

The time period is to perform your set operation within a certain period of time. It should be noted that at the end of the time period, the operation you performed previously will be executed in the opposite direction. For example, if you set 2:00 to 2:00 to turn on wifi, then it will automatically close wifi once it reaches 2 o'clock. Conversely, if you set 2:00 to 2 o'clock to turn off wifi, then it will automatically start wifi once at 2 o'clock.

Reducing to the specified power, that is, the power is reduced to a certain percentage before it is executed. This feeling is mainly used for intelligent power saving, but it is more flexible than the original power saving management function.

Millet's consistency in setting details this time is better. As I mentioned earlier, MIUI is to provide smart workingday alarm clock earlier, and after the timing/time period conditions are selected, the repeated logic selection appears, which also provides the option of smart workingday.

However, there is no smart working day option for the regular task function of Xiaomi's Internet radio. This should be criticized. In order to listen to English for the chick, I used the English program for the chick every morning as an alarm clock. As a result, the weekend began to play English at 7 o'clock.

If the power reduction condition is selected, the option to “restore the state before switchover after charging” will also appear and be humanized.

In the setting of execution operations, the commonly used system setting functions are mainly provided. There is no function such as opening an app, playing music or anything.

According to the corresponding system setting function, the execution operations that can be set are also different.

Most of the "switch type" settings, you can choose to open or close. Since multiple settings can be selected to be executed at the same time, an option to not select this operation is also provided. If you mistakenly select a setting, this option is used to give up the selection.

For example, the brightness of the "settings" settings such as screen brightness, you can also set the brightness; like the lock screen to clear the memory of this operation, you can set how many minutes to start the implementation.

Basically these settings and combinations can meet most of the needs.

The figure above is an example I casually do. After satisfying the conditions set by me, the silence will be cancelled (permission to ring), Bluetooth will be turned on, and the memory will be cleared 5 minutes after the screen is locked.

Each time a set condition is triggered (starting an automatic task) and a scheduled task ends (exiting an automatic task), the notification bar will have a corresponding prompt. Well, I love and hate. Love is because it can tell me what the current task is in (like the most frequently used mute function, the icon in the status bar is occasionally not noticed); hate is due to hang up there several times a day, OCD will clean it up by hand. Notification bar, annoying.

After a few days of trial, the system's native support is good, and there will be no inexplicable timing task failure. Don't worry about being awakened when you're resting. You don't have to worry about silent phone calls when you go to work. You don't have to worry about forgetting to leave your family phone when you're off work.

Excited, I decided to write this feature out, and have similar needs, but also just use MIUI8 development version of the value of friends to share (the millet forum will be said later). It should be noted that this feature is currently only available in the MIUI8 development version. I personally hope that we can add this feature to the stable version as soon as possible, and do not cancel it in the follow-up version. It is as simple as keeping the current one.
