The power transmission from the Nuozhadu Hydropower Station to the ±800 kv DC transmission project in Guangdong starts in Pu'er, Yunnan Province, and is located in Jiangmen, Guangdong. The rated transmission capacity is 5 million kilowatts and the transmission distance is 1,451 kilometers. This project is a major measure to increase the capacity of the South China Power Grid to deliver electricity from the west to the east, meet the needs of Yunnan hydropower delivery and the growth of electricity load in Guangdong, and exceed the Yunnan-Guangzhou ±800 kV UHV DC transmission project in terms of construction scale. After the completion of the project, 5 million kilowatts of power from the Nuozhadu Hydropower Station will be sent to the Pearl River Delta load center, which will make new contributions to the transmission of power from the west to the east and energy conservation and emission reduction.
According to reports, the project is an important part of the main grid structure of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†of China Southern Power Grid and has a very important position and role in the entire South China Power Grid. Its transmission scheme adopts various energy-saving and consumption-reduction measures. The "two-pass" project (± 800 kV Nuozhadu power station to deliver electricity to the Guangdong DC transmission project and ± 500 kV Xiluodu right bank power station to supply electricity to Guangdong Shuanghui DC transmission project) has been approved in succession, which means that in the future the power from the West to East will be transferred. The share of hydropower in Yunnan will increase substantially.
It is understood that the construction of the Zhazadu project will begin within the year.

Applications
The cooking bowl is filled with rice and water. During cooking, the rice/water mixture is heated at full power. The water reaches a temperature of 100 °C (212 °F); it cannot get hotter than its boiling point (all the energy goes into vapourizing the water). At the end of cooking there will be no free water left; most will have been absorbed by the rice, and some boiled off. As heating continues, the temperature can now rise above boiling point; this makes the thermostat trip. Some cookers switch to low-power "warming" mode, keeping the rice at a safe temperature of approximately 65 °C (150 °F); simpler models switch off.
This means that if more water is added, the rice will cook for longer.
Some people prefer to achieve the water absorption by simply leaving the rice soaking in the rice cooker overnight before starting cooking in the morning. Some other types of rice, e.g., long-grain rice or scented rice such as jasmine rice, do not require washing or the water absorption step. The water for cooking is added to the inner bowl by using measuring cups or simply filling up to the appropriate graduated mark in the inner bowl. Although cold water is normally added, boiling water is used for cooking sushi rice.
