Taiwan to increase NT$2 billion in 2012 to support LED street lamps

In response to the recession, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has compiled nearly NT$9 billion to boost domestic demand and exports to promote investment, help the industry, boost consumer spending, and fight for exports. The four measures will be devoted to Taiwan’s economic growth in 2012, and the economic growth rate will be More than 4%.

In terms of LEDs, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has also expanded the budget for setting up LED street lights in 2012. In 2012, it originally set up NT$180 million for setting up LED street lamps in Keelung City, Hsinchu City, and Chiayi City. In order to increase domestic demand and boost the LED industry's prosperity, the 2012 Energy Bureau added 2 billion yuan to install LED street lights in Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taichung City, Tainan City and Kaohsiung City and 14 counties and cities. Replace 40% of mercury street lamps.

In addition, in the promotion of investment, the Ministry of Economic Affairs will be divided into two parts: "Taiwan-funded fixed platforms" and "Japanese-funded injections". At the same time, the Executive Yuan has adjusted the promotion of domestic demand in 2012 as the most important task in boosting economic growth. The pattern of the growth of "cold internal temperature" and "prosperous consumption" are the priorities of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the next year.
