What is PLC and DCS?

PLC:

(1) From switching control to sequential control and transportation processing, it is from the bottom up.
(2) Continuous PID control and other functions, PID is in the interrupt station.
(3) One PC machine can be used as the main station, and multiple identical PLCs can be used as the slave station.
(4) One PLC may also be the main station, and multiple identical PLCs may be slave stations to form a PLC network. This is more convenient than using a PC as a master station: When there is a user program, you do not need to know the communication protocol. Just write it in the manual format.
(5) The PLC grid can be used as both a stand-alone DCS and a DCS subsystem.
(6) Large system with DCS.
(7) PLC is mainly used for sequence control in industrial processes, and the new PLC also has closed-loop control functions.

DCS:

(1) Distributed Control System DCS integrates 4C (Communication, Computer, Control, CRT) technology into one monitoring technology.
(2) A top-down tree topology system, where communication is the key.
(3) PID is in the interruption station, the interruption station connects the computer and the on-site instrumentation and control device.
(4) It is a tree topology and a parallel continuous link structure. There are also a large number of cables from the relay station to the on-site instrumentation.
(5) Analog signal, A/D-D/A, mixed with microprocessor.
(6) One instrument is connected to the I/O line by wire and is connected to the LAN by the control station.
(7) DCS is a three-level structure of control (engineering station), operation (operator station), and field instrument (field monitoring station).
(8) For large-scale continuous process control, such as petrochemicals, etc.
