ARM: Not afraid that Intel 3-D transistors are enough to compete

Last week, Intel announced the revolutionary 3-D Tri-Gate tri-gate transistor technology. The concept of "re-inventing the transistor" is exaggerating but amazing. In this regard, as the old rival AMD has not made any response, but the ferocious ARM recently spoke.

Ian Drew, executive vice president of ARM's marketing department, said: "For us, this announcement is no surprise, because we all know that the entire industry also understands that Intel has been working on this technology for many years. You must always be tight. Focus on competitors, but we believe that the power of the ARM ecosystem is enough to compete with them."

Intel announced the early warning of the 3-D transistor, but sold it off without revealing any clues. When investors were looking forward to Intel, ARM's share price fell sharply until Intel revealed its answer slightly.

Intel painstakingly researched the 3-D transistor that will bear fruit for nearly a decade. It will first be used in the 22nm process, which is the Ivy Bridge family of processors. It is expected that the 3-D transistor will be put into mass production later this year and will be released in early next year.
