It is understood that after the Nantong LED project with Tsinghua Tongfang’s investment of nearly 3 billion yuan will be completed, it will form an annual output of 1.92 million high-brightness blue-green LED epitaxial wafers, 2 million LED backlight modules, and 2 million LED LCD TVs. 1 million LCD TVs, 500,000 Blu-ray DVDs, 16 million LED lamps, and 9.6 million sets of wire and power board processing capacity.

According to Wang Lianghai, at present, Tsinghua Tongfang has formed LED epitaxial wafers, chip manufacturing and packaging, production and application of terminal products, and completed industrial chain and large-scale production of urban landscape lighting, and has patents on LED epitaxy and chip manufacturing. item.

Because there are many patent issues in the technical links such as epitaxial wafers, chips, and packages, multinational giants such as Sem iLEDsCorporation in the United States, Lumileds in the Netherlands, etc. are building a huge patent pool, which threatens the long-term development of China's LED industry.
