Samsung then launched a survey of Hagrid Guoli, and the results of the review released this week denied the accusation. Samsung said that although Haige’s 30% monthly average turnover rate has imposed restrictions on the review, Samsung’s investigators conducted face-to-face verification, enrollment, and one-on-one interviews with interns. In the form, all employees of Haige Guoli were reviewed and no problems were found.

However, Samsung also found that Hagrid Guoli does have some management deficiencies and potential security risks. For example, the phenomenon of fines for late or absenteeism, as well as cases of overtime overtime or overtime work for more than 9 hours per week, and deficiencies in certain health and safety safeguards, such as the absence of a medical office.

In this regard, Samsung has asked Haige Guoli to immediately rectify, otherwise the contract will be terminated.

Overtime up to 186 hours
The eight factories involved in the report include six factories directly controlled by Samsung and two supply factories. The employees range from 500 to 3,500, and the products include home appliances, mobile phones, DVD players, digital printing, etc. Product line.

This 124-page survey report lists some of the more serious employment problems. For example, in the eight factories, except for Samsung Kejian, workers in the remaining seven factories have at least six months of overtime per month for over 100 hours, which is more than the legal time. Among them, the Tianjin Samsung Vision Factory has a working time of 186 hours per month during the peak season, with only one to two days of rest.

The organization found that basically every factory did not protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers in labor contracts. These illegal infringements are reflected in labor contracts that only allow workers to sign blanks, do not give workers copies of labor contracts, or even sign contracts. For example, Tianjin Samsung Electronics, Tianjin Samsung Vision, Tianjin Intas and Tianjin Canter have not signed legal labor contracts with most workers.

A more serious problem is the abuse of underage workers. According to the report, three factories including Tianjin Samsung Vision, Huizhou Samsung and Shenzhen Samsung Kejian employ workers under the age of 18. Their workload is the same as that of an adult worker and is not subject to any additional protection. Among them, the Huizhou Samsung factory even modified the names on these underage workers' ID cards, which resulted in the management of those who had left the company. Workers in the three factories reported that child laborers used adult ID cards to enter the factory.

It is worth noting that after Hagrid's profit, Samsung has stepped up its review of the factory. Not long ago, Samsung said that before the end of September, Samsung headquarters will set up and dispatch a survey team of more than 100 people to conduct on-the-spot investigations on 105 Chinese suppliers that only supply Samsung.
