Samsung launches a wide range of media applications using UBIDA cloud computing technology
Seoul and Taipei, South Korea, December 2, 2009-Samsung Electronics and Ubita Technology, a leading global mobile phone supplier, launched the Pocket Media application in the Latin American market this month. Pocket Media means that you can put all your media entertainment content into your pocket, allowing users to mobilely share multimedia content from their or their friends' home computers and mobile applications, including music, pictures and videos. Pocket Media combines Ubita ’s cloud computing technology to easily overcome any media codec / format barriers, adjust “live / instant content†according to the network and target devices, and optimize the mobile experience.
Pocket Media is first preloaded on the Samsung Omnia II (I8000) in Brazil. The handheld device has the Windows Mobile (R) 6.5 Professional operating system and the world ’s largest 3.7-inch AMOLED display.
