Playing big? Google wants to implant Chromecast into TV

Google wants to change how smart TVs are used. According to Variety, Google has partnered with high-definition TV maker Vizio, which tried to embed streaming features like Chromecast for TVs. The new TV does not require a screen APP or an interface. Users can send streaming video, music, and content on their smartphones and computers to the TV with a single click of a button. In simple terms, Google just wants to build a Chromecast on TV.

The TV that supports similar functions this spring will start selling on the market this spring. Since the new TV does not use the traditional smart TV interface, Google and Vizio may add smart features to the remote control. Unlike traditional remote controls, Vizio may bundle a tablet computer for the TV. An app is installed on the tablet. It can be used to play streaming media content. Whether the final tablet will replace the remote control, the manufacturer has not yet determined. In addition to Vizio, Google is at least working with another manufacturer to develop TVs that support the Casting feature.

As we all know, the development of Google TV software is not smooth, and Android TV is the same. Chromecast is a blockbuster, because the price is low and easy to use, the product has achieved initial success. If Casting is to be embedded in TVs, rather than developing a full-fledged TV operating system, it may be possible for low-end smart TVs to embed what consumers really want.
