This is the second smartphone launched by Baidu that is deeply embedded in its application. At the end of last year, Baidu cooperated with Dell to launch a high-end smartphone equipped with Baidu · Yi platform, but the market responded flatly due to high prices.

Wang Jin said that since the Baidu cloud intelligent terminal platform moved computing, storage, and calling very high-performance services to the cloud, this thousand-yuan smart phone received the same service as the 3,000-yuan mobile phone.
However, the industry is still puzzled by Baidu's choice of Changhong, the first partner of a thousand yuan smartphone. Wang Jin explained that the reason for the cooperation with Changhong is firstly because Changhong is a national brand. Second, the cooperation is a combination of Changhong, Baidu, China Unicom and Foxconn, which is more competitive.

Unlike 360's software-based business model, Wang Jin said that smartphones that are deeply co-operated with Baidu do not make money by selling hardware and software, but by partnering with partners through mobile search advertising, paid application sharing, and mobile application advertising.
