Ajax Football Club of the Netherlands is one of the oldest and most famous football clubs in Europe.
The Ajax Experience Center tells the story of the club's growth and is an interactive museum. The lighting design task of the experience center was performed by Montreal lighting design studio Lightemotion. The Ajax Experience Center is located in an original building in the heart of Amsterdam. Architecturally, the Experience Center was designed by Sid Lee Architecture and gsmprjct°. Gsmprjct° is an interactive display design company responsible for the museum background design. The Experience Center has appointed Lightemotion to work with the two companies to create a more dynamic and exciting Ajax Experience Center.
Lightemotion's founder, Francois Roupinian, said: "Ajax Football Club is one of the most respected football clubs in the world and is known for its innovative training methods. In design, we try to capture the legendary part of football and the club. Behind the top technology is the inspiration. We want to create a vibrant, happy, inspiring and inspiring atmosphere, just like the Ajax Amsterdam Football Club.
Designers divide the experience center into three main areas. As soon as you walk into the experience center, it is the historic lobby area, where the sun is abundant, but its irregular walls and large-sloping ceilings pose a great challenge for Lightemotion. The designer installed a metal halide lamp on the structural column, crossed the dynamic wall surface, and installed the LED lamp on the red ceiling.
Roupinian said: "When you are in it, you will not pay attention to the light, but it seems that the wall itself is shining."
